Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It’s best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city’s Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake’s snake boat races are a well-known annual event.

Varkala is the perfect place for a holiday getaway to enjoy golden beaches and is also rich with history. Varkala is a tiny hamlet on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram that has attracted pilgrims and tourists for a long time. Its beach is famous for its natural springs which are said to have medicinal qualities.Varkala’s unique feature is the cliff that stands tall on the beach. Most of the resorts are on the cliff. Facing the Arabian Sea, you can’t have a better view of the sunset. While Varkala can provide an ideal spot for relaxing, there are also some really interesting places around Varkala.

On arrival day, check-in at Alleppy jetty at 11.30am. The cruise begins at 12.00pm through Punnamada Lake, Finishing point – the venue of the famous Nehru Trophy Boat Race and moves towards Vembanad Lake, Marthandam Kayal, R’Block, Chithira Block, Vattakayal etc where you can enjoy the panoramic views and the real village life.
There is halting time during lunch. After lunch the cruise starts and at 5.30pm the boat will anchor at lake side.The next day, the cruise begins at 8am and after having breakfast, the cruise finishes at Alleppey jetty at 9am.

This Morning after breakfast proceed to Varkala Sight-seeing.Places to visit: The Janardhanaswamy Temple, also known as Varkala Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu built 20 centuries ago. The significant feature of the temple is the huge old bell which is considered an oblation to the temple. Timings are 4am to 12pm and from 5pm to 8pm. Entry is free. The Papanasam Beach, also known as Varkala Beach, is one of the best beaches in Kerala because of the view it offers from the cliff top. The Kappil Beach, a little away from Varkala, is a beach-backwater destination. The road splitting the two waterbodies [west is the majestic Arabian sea and to the east is the calm and serene backwaters]; the backwater and the Arabian Sea, is a treat to the eye.Overnight stay at hotel with dinner.
After Breakfast, check out hotel and proceed your return journey.
