Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It’s best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city’s Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake’s snake boat races are a well-known annual event.
Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it’s surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak.
Munnar is the largest tea growing region in the whole south India. These tea gardens were developed in the late 19th century and tourists can visit tea factories there to witness the process of making tea powder, categorizing it based on quality and packing it for export and for the market too.

Depart from salem and proceed to Alleppey .Welcome to God’s Own Country! check-in at Alleppy jetty at 11.30am. The cruise begins at 12.00pm through Punnamada Lake, Finishing point and backwaters – the venue of the famous Nehru Trophy Boat Race and moves towards Vembanad Lake, Marthandam Kayal, R’Block, Chithira Block, Vattakayal etc where you can enjoy the panoramic views and the real village life.
There is halting time during lunch. After lunch the cruise starts and at 5.30pm the boat will anchor at lake side.The next day, the cruise begins at 8am and after having breakfast, the cruise finishes at Alleppey jetty at 9am.
Sight-seeing: coconut lagoons, paddy fields, resorts on banks of lake, sanctuary etc.

After Breakfast check out from houseboat @ 9:00 am and proceed to Munnar. On the way enjoy Waterfalls and sprawling tea plantations. Picturesque towns and winding lanes.
This four hours road trip will enroute via spice plantations and beautiful of Valara and Cheeyappara Falls. As you reach Munnar, you will check-in to your hotel and have a relaxing nap. You can also visit the local market and surroundings for rest of the day. The time after arrival in Munnar will be at leisure.
Evening visit Botanical Garden .After enjoying some peaceful and picturesque time in the beautiful city, come back and spend some relaxing time at the hotel. Overnight at Munnar.
