Jaisalmer, nicknamed the “Golden City,” is a city in Rajasthan, India, located in the heart of the Thar Desert. It’s known for its golden sand dunes, majestic havelis (manor houses), and the iconic Jaisalmer Fort, a World Heritage site. The city’s architecture, particularly the Fort, is built with yellow sandstone, giving it its golden hue.
