Denmark has clean air, a beautiful landscape, and charming historical towns, and Denmark is bike-friendly and is lovely to visit if you like to see beautiful castles, amazing beaches and great restaurants. Denmark has clean air, a beautiful landscape, charming historical towns, and is bike-friendly.

The Danes have a very ordered but happy lifestyle and are always in the top 3 in the world with one of the happiest populations. So, don’t just go to Copenhagen but explore the coastlines, the small cities, and the beautiful national parks. There is much to see and do, and we recommend travelling beyond the capital.

Denmark has an extensive and fertile landscape that varies a lot and this helps to make a journey through the countryside an experience in itself.

Unspoilt historic buildings and monuments characterise Denmark’s many small charming old towns. These towns are often situated by the sea, or adjacent to lakes, fjords and streams, and their location invites visitors to enjoy a sailing or a canoe trip. Generally speaking activity holidays.

Day 1: Arrival in Copenhagen

Once you land at Copenhagen airport, head to your hotel on your own. Take it easy this day and explore at your own pace. The city’s main attractions are conveniently located within walking distance of the city centre. We suggest checking out Tivoli Gardens, Amalienborg Palace, Christiansborg Palace (Danish Parliament), Gefion Fountain, Nyhavn (the old harbour), the iconic Little Mermaid, Round Tower, Carlsberg Museum, or any of the various art, culture, history, and design museums. Do not forget to be available for a leisurely stroll along the pedestrian shopping streets of Strøget and its surroundings. Spend the night at your hotel in Copenhagen.

Day 2: Copenhagen to Aarhus

Begin your day with a nice breakfast. Head to Copenhagen Central Rail Station on your own. Take a train and enjoy the scenic journey through farms and little villages that were built by Vikings over a thousand years ago. Arrive in Aarhus, the second-largest city in Denmark, also known as the City of the Smile. Make your way to the hotel by yourself. Spend the day exploring the charming city. Stay overnight at the hotel in Aarhus.

Day 3: Explore Aarhus

Start your day with a delicious breakfast. We suggest visiting the Old City (Den Gamle By). You can also explore the cathedral, the museum of Danish prehistory, or the Marselisborg Castle, which is the Royal Family’s holiday residence. If the Royal Family is away, the palace park is open to the public for free from morning to evening. Spend the night at a hotel in Aarhus.

Day 4: Aarhus to Odense

Begin your day with a wonderful breakfast before heading to Odense, Denmark’s third-largest city and the hometown of Hans Christian Andersen. Arrange your own transfer to the hotel. After checking in, visit Hans Christian Andersen’s home, a humble house turned into a museum dedicated to the famous fairy tale writer. Stay overnight at a hotel in Odense.

Day 5: Departure from Odense to Copenhagen

Wake up and enjoy a tasty breakfast. Take some time to explore Odense before making your own way to the station for the afternoon train back to Copenhagen.
