Post breakfast, visit Cherrapunji, the wettest place on earth. On the way, visit Mawkdok Valley, a very prominent sightseeing spot. NohSngithiang Falls, or Seven Sisters Falls, is the next attraction on the way.
The Falls is the epitome of unity among the seven states of north-east India, hence the name. Up next are Mawsmai Cave and EcoPark. From Eco Park, you also catch a glimpse of the Sylhet Plains neighboring Bangladesh. After enjoying the scenic route, you will go back to the Shillong hotel for a restful sleep.
After an early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong, “Asia’s Cleanest Village,”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights, such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock.
Later, proceed to Dawki, a small town near the India-Bangladesh border. Enjoy a breath-taking view of the Umangot River. Evening drive back to Shillong. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.
Morning after breakfast, check out of the hotel and visit the mesmerising Lady Hydropark, Ward’s Lake, and Cathedral Catholic Church. After sightseeing, transfer to Guwahati. As you reach, check in at your hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
