China is a populous nation in East Asia whose vast landscape encompasses grassland, desert, mountains, lakes, rivers, and more than 14,000 km of coastline. Capital Beijing mixes modern architecture with historic sites such as the Forbidden City palace complex and Tiananmen Square. Shanghai is a skyscraper-studded global financial center. The iconic Great Wall of China runs east-west across the country’s north.

Day 1 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing by LY95 at 13:30; our car will pick us up and transfer us to our hotel. In the evening, we take a tour of Wangfujing Street.

Day 2 Beijing

Our first stop is the impressive Tiananmen Square, where most of the national ceremonies are held. From the square, you can walk to the splendid Forbidden City.

Upon arrival at the largest imperial palace, travellers are always impressed by the high red walls and large quantity of buildings with golden roofs. Then we walk to Coal Hill, which was a royal garden in the past, where we can enjoy a panoramic view of Forbidden City.

Then we drive to Beihai Park, a former imperial garden. After that, we drive to Shichahai Hutong to visit the traditional residence of Beijing with rickshaws, which is an old way of transportation. Then we visit Houhai area by walking, which is a part of Shichahai.

Day 3 Beijing

Today we first visit the fascinating Badaling Great Wall; we take the cable car up and walk down. Then we drive to visit Summer Palace, including a boat ride. The palace was used as the royal family’s “Palace to avoid the heat” when in summer.

Then we drive to Olympic Park to see the modern masterpiece, Bird Nest & Water Cube, from outside. In the evening, we shall see the Kongfu Show by regular seats.

Day 4 Beijing-Shanghai

Today we first visit the Temple of Heaven, where ever the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Gods of Heaven. Then we go to Silk Market, in which you’ll find nearly all the things you want to buy.

Then we transfer to the station for the Bullet Train to Shanghai G3 (1400/1848) by 2nd class seats. Upon arrival, our guide and driver in Shanghai will pick you up and drive to the hotel for rest.

Day 5 Shanghai

Today we first visit Yu Garden, including nearby bazaars. In Yuyuan, you can see the sophisticated design and fine layout of pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds, and cellars.

Then we visit Shanghai Museum, which specialises in ancient art works of China, especially bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphists, and paintings. After that, we will take a walking tour of Nanjing Road and The Bund to enjoy the modern view of Shanghai.

Then we go to take the elevator up to the TV Tower and take an overlook of Shanghai City. In the evening, you’ll be entertained by the acrobatic show at the theater. Then we drive back to our hotel.

Day 6 Zhujiajiao – Shanghai

Today we drive to visit the beautiful Water Town of Zhujiajiao, including boat cruise. Then we drive back to Shanghai and visit Tianzifang area, which used to be the living area of local people in the past but now has been changed to modern leisure area with many interesting Coffee shops in. And then we will stop by Silk Factory before transfer back to our hotel.

Day 7 Shanghai - Departure

In the morning we will go to visit Xintiandi Shopping Mall, then to French Concession. In the afternoon, we will be transferred to the airport and take our departure flight.

  • Entrance fees during sightseeing.

  • Any special request, such as room next to each other, connecting rooms, room on the same floor, 1 king size / 1 double bed, floor covering of any description, early check-in, non-smoking room, etc., is subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis up on your arrival at the hotel and it is totally discretionary and up to the hotel to assign.
